The Leap Laboratory of Universidad de La Laguna (ULL) has been awarded over 168k€ in external fundings this year in competitive calls, by the Gobierno de Canarias (Spain) and from the European Union (EU).
These fundings will be spent in preparing the frontier research strategy of the Lab for the next decade, incorporating new state-of-the-art laser equipment which will boost our technical capabilities as of today, as well as allowing us to explore various new research strategies in line with the Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation of the European Commission, as well as with the Digital and Ecological Transition framework, our first priority as an applied research lab.
Our new projects are:
EIS 2021 10. Nanofabricación 3D digital para la ventaja competitiva canaria (NANOCAN), granted with 98’750€, and PROID2021010102. SENECA (Pushing smart 3D digital manufacturing and enabling nanoengineering in the canaries / Impulsando la fabricación digital 3D inteligente y la nanoingeniería facilitadora en Canarias), with 68’900€, both from Gobierno de Canarias and the EU.
